Students: How to stand out from the crowd by showcasing your skills on a CV/Resume

self-confident. Change paradigms and stereotypes!
If you have
a limited professional experience that is not directly related to the position,
a Skills based CV is a great way for you to showcase your "Soft
Skills" and "Transferable Skills".
As a
candidate, you must be able to highlight your experiences and skills. When
starting your career, it’s normal that you don’t have a wealth of experiences
on your CV. However, there are ways to valorise student work experiences on a
CV.
Let's look
at a babysitter role.
The role of
babysitter implies skills and qualities such as: organisation, empathy,
communication, animation, safety, responsibility, availability, adaptability
....
Valorising
your experiences entails a work of self-reflection, self-confidence, and
knowledge of your own value!
You must be
daring = Audacity
You must
convince = Good communication and provide concrete examples
You must keep moving forward= Stay in tune with yourself

Si un
candidat(e) a une expérience professionnelle limitée et/ou son expérience n’est
pas directement liée au poste, un CV basé sur les compétences « Skills

Prenons le cas d’une expérience en tant que « baby-sitter ». Le rôle de baby-sitter implique des compétences et des qualités telles que : l’organisation, l’empathie, la communication, l’animation, la sécurité, la responsabilité, la disponibilité, l’adaptabilité….
En tant que candidat, il faut que vous puissiez mettre en valeur vos compétences. C’est un travail de réflexion, de confiance en soi et de connaissance de sa propre valeur !
