Some insight into using AI to create a CV/ Resume or Cover Letter
Real language proficiency
is more complicated than simply using an AI generated CV to write a
"winning CV" that lands you a « dream job interview ». AI
can indeed help with generating a professionally written CV but when faced with
a face-to-face situation such as a job interview where you must speak and
express your opinions, you are on your own with your comprehension, skills, and
creativity! You will not have the opportunity to consult an AI application for a
winning reply to a challenging question on your experience or achievements.
The power of
communication remains in our ability to understand the different meanings of words
across diverse cultures, language subtleties, our capacity to express emotions
and when to adapt our communication style. For the moment, AI cannot help us
with all the various aspects of face-to-face communication such as non-verbal
cues and culture. We have a lot to learn from AI, however, AI has still a lot
to learn from us!
